Indein lost village @ Inle lake

Good morning! Today is the day! So excited to visit the lost village of Indein, with hundreds of ancient stupas (some from 250BC!!!) One of the highlights of the days in the lake, so there we go!

After dealing the price for the complete trip with the boat-mans in the pier, time to head to the south of the lake (~26km ride) where we can see the amazing day-life with the fishermans, the floating gardens, boats up an down everywhere,…

But before arriving to the village, the 1st stop is in the Phaung Daw Oo pagoda.

After visiting the pagoda, you arrive to Indein from the lake through some km inside a beautiful channel, an incredible precious journey!

And finally the arrival to Indein. Let’s goooo!

The first stupas set is already amazing!

But after a long corridor

You arrive to the main complex with hundreds of stupas in a breathtaking landscape.

Finally in the top of the hill you can find the “new” zone with some reinstauration and new stupas.

A complete nonsense of gold excess compared with the ancient complex…

Whatever, the whole village is one of the most incredible places I’ve ever been.

It was totally astonishing and unbeliavable: the stupas, the mountain, the surroundings, the location, the arrival by boat, being completelly alone in the major part of the place, the mystical breath, the energy flowing….

No words, again, some other incredible moments retained forever in my soul.

I would have stayed there for ages, but the boat-man was waiting in the pier to head back again through the lake direction to Nyaung Shwe, so, long breath and feel the magic.
See you soon Indein! Thank you one more time universe, for allowing me to live all these magical moments.
