Siquijor typhoon : Last Days in the enchanted island
The day we were supposed to leave Siquijor, there was a typhoon which cancelled all boats, so we were forced to stay in the island.
Looking for an alternative was not a good idea, as we had a flat tire while heading to the local airport. But being positive, we had the chance to meet some nice locals while fixing the tire.
After the incident, we came back to siquijor town in order to have lunch in one little local place with really nice food.
The rest of the day was raining, so there was not too much to do than chilling in the Baha Bar close to the hostel and have some well diserved rest.
The next day the typhoon alert was still blocking us in the island because of the boats cancellation, so we decided to go exploring some other parts of the island.
First stop in the 400 year old enchanted tree where we could enjoy a natural spa with the curious fishes kissing our feet.
We arrived to the beach to have some more fun in the cliff-jumping over an incredible turquoise waters sea.
Then we headed off the beaten path to the Cambugahay falls 2, some smaller waterfalls where we enjoyed jumping into the waters completely by our own.
To complete the day we headed to the highest peak of Siquijor where, after a pleasant walk, the intense fog didn’t allow us to enjoy the view over the island.
The next day we woke up early in order to catch the first boat to leave the island. We intended to head to Bohol, but the boat was fully booked so we took the boat to Dumaguete to decide which would be our next steps in this Philippines adventure…
Time to say goodbye to Denis and that beautiful island which was becoming already a part of us.
See you soon Siquijor, thanks for those great times. Salamat!!!
