Philippines Itinerary – 1 Month Essential Travel Guide

There are infinite combinations when planning your route to the Philippines, and it will vary depending on the time you have and your preferences for this trip: beach, countryside, diving, snorkeling, party, culture, … Take into account that the country consists of more than 7.000 islands, so it can be kind of overwhelming planning a 2, weeks, 3 weeks, or 1-month Philippines itinerary!

What do you want to do in the Philippines: Best snorkeling.

The following itinerary I planned is based on the best snorkeling spots in the Philippines. This is one of the best routes in the Philippines if you are going to spend at least 3 weeks in the archipelago.
During these days you will be able to visit 4 islands, explore amazing waterfalls in the jungle, enjoy insane beaches just for yourself, and many, many other tips & tricks and off the beaten path and local places. And of course, some of the best places for diving and snorkeling in the world.

Ā· PHILIPPINES ITINERARY MAP Ā·

Ā· SUGGESTED 1 MONTH ITINERARY (>3 weeks) Ā·

  1. MANILA: Arrival Ā· No stay. Plane to Cebu.
  2. CEBU-MOALBAL Ā· No stay. Bus to Moalboal.
  3. MOALBOAL & KAWASAN FALLS Ā· 2 nights Ā· Sardine’s Run Snorkel.
  4. DUMAGUETE Ā· 1 night. Sleep Stop.
  5. APO ISLAND Ā· Day Trip Ā· Snorkel: Sea Turtles paradise.
  6. SIQUIJOR (Part 1),(Part 2),(Part 3)Ā Ā· 6 nights Ā· Waterfalls, beaches & Local
  7. PUERTO PRINCESA Ā· No stay. Bus to Port Barton.
  8. PORT BARTON Ā· 3 nights Ā· Snorkel: Local island-hopping.
  9. EL NIDO Ā· 6 nights Ā· Snorkel: Island-hopping, beaches & Lagoons.
  10. CORON Ā· 3 nights Ā· Snorkel: Local island-hopping.

TIPS: If you just have 3 weeks to 1 month: avoid the big cities: Manila and Cebu.
Take into account the typhoon alerts, the ships will be canceled and this situation can block your stay with no escape from the island.
I would also avoid Boracay as this is the most touristic place crowded with couples and backpackers looking for “party”.
